This tool installs a the server for you and creates the database for you. Installation is basically automated now.
Includes live map editor (vehicles, ect.)
Live GUI inventory editor for players and vehicles
Crap loads more of customization...
This also has web access to it so admins can use it too if given access.
I really don't see a reason to not use this, considering it can do everything but faster. (no offense David)

Re: Faster Server Installs/Easier Management
So David would finally have the time to setup Sourcebans and Stats on the GO and TF2 servers!!!!!
Re: Faster Server Installs/Easier Management
While this tool is pretty comprehensive and has a all in one feel to it (used it before) it lacks in updates. Meaning that any fixes from the developers don't get out as fast to DayzCC and thus results in delays. Plus the control center doesn't allow for modification for custom missions/gameplay etc. But i see what you mean. And yes Pogo I will get down to setting up the sourcebans and hlstats for the go and tf2 servers for you, because I love you. I bet Vito is gonna come up with some smart ass remark about me being lazy....

Making excuses David...
The program is perfect.
Old man David not wanting to try something new.
missions: nothing that's not already customizable with the CC.
gameplay: Scouter's games? Which are never getting on the box apparently?

What kind of custom crap do we even have?LT wrote:plus the control center doesn't allow for modification for custom missions/gameplay etc.

Re: Faster Server Installs/Easier Management
When I said lack of updates i mean the updates that come from the developer. For example if you have to change something you have to do within the program which doesn't leave much flexibility. Source:http://www.dayzcc.tk/index.php?page=Thread&postID=8892

Re: Faster Server Installs/Easier Management
Well yeah I can understand being limited to the program but I don't think that would be the case. I looked at it and it seem it's pretty much the same set-up as a regular server just with a fancy GUI for everything. All I'm saying is it wouldn't hurt to do some decent testing with it. I'm sure you can still edit files if say the program died.
Also, nice of you to contribute to the conversation Smoke...

This seems like a tekkit vs vanilla deal. You get a lot of control with custom content but support for newer official content lags behind.
