I'm not trying to sound bitchy here, but can David or Nick add the plug-ins/maps soon? I'm on break and would love to play some funmaps during it!

Also if someone gives me access, I can add maps myself. There's a couple i've been wanting to test out.

Don't worry about populating the server, i've got that covered. Even with the dust map on 24/7, i've managed to get the server somewhat consistently full

I agree with Ayoub, I'll do whatever it takes to get it running... I can upload maps but it won't do any good because the server can't see the maps... It just lists the vanilla cs default maps.. Need the plugins 1st and foremost... Someone guide me and I'll do all the work if need be? I am good at reading tutorials

btw, Nick did some stuff already which we all really appreciate, but he is the Battlefield server guy so we can't expect him to know everything about cs.. I think the settings went back to default (like voice codec and all talk). We need David to get online, I have no clue how to tie in amxbanss web server admin stuff into the cs server client.. I've only done basic server stuff like instal amx and bhop mod on my own computer to practice bhoping around in a LAN game... lol.

I am taking roughly 24 hours this semester, even though the university maximum is 18. I try to get on here when I can, but the fact of the matter is I don't have as much as time as before.

David's schedule is very similar, as he has to work on top of school. We are trying our hardest, trust us.

The thing is though, I'm feeling like because most of this clan doesn't donate, no one is truly dedicated. Motivation is key in at least popping the ventrilo server.

I've handled the minecraft servers and we even have a couple new guys on board setting up some cool mods.

tldr; We need everyone to step up and be in vent, asking friends to play. We can't magically expect the server to be full, especially after reloading it onto a new box.

The same thing goes with Battlefield 3. Until Dice fixes the server browser it will take 5-6 guys to populate it. We just need motivation and dedication.

The truth is I'm seeing it from anyone. Including the leadership positions.

I'll be taking an leave of absence for about a week or so , I'm currently packing my things into my car and ready to leave to California as promised i'm telling you before , I leave , as to the Minecraft RPG Hero server , I'm leaving things to Vexx until I get back. Toodles <3

I don't donate mainly because i'm a dirt poor university student. I definitely will donate when I can though, just like how i've donated in the past when I could (including the time wowzer ate that money LOL!). But you can't say i'm not motivated or dedicated, every time I play online I mainly try to get people playing in the server. You also have to keep in mind that a lot of us can't do much with our limited accessability. IMO, everyone will be way more active once the server is actually up. Meanwhile, i'll try getting people in vent as much as possible.

Oh and I definitely appreciate everything you've done. I hope my post didn't rub you the wrong way! I know it kind of sounded whiny

EDIT: oh and dude, you don't have to worry about populating the server. I can EASILY get at least 10 people playing at any point. And if it's non-steam, that's almost a guaranteed full server.

I know for a FACT that we have member inactivity because the server has been down... We can easily populate the server again with just the members we have alone.. When it comes back up i guarantee stupendous, me, thompson, vanilla, etc, etc, will be playing on it regularly.. I do agree we should STILL get on ventrilo though. I mean, if you're on your computer, why not be in the vent server? If you dont wanna talk just hit mute.. at least you can be in it and say hello or something, that helps out alot with general morale of the community

bottom line, someone needs to get the server setup as NON steam again and upload the plugins OR give me access to higher ftp and I'll do it, reaper can help me too... either way, i'll get the maps uploaded... but it needs listmaps and RTV/nominations installed first.

SUGGESTION:

Please install the listmaps plugin that doesn't require the HTML pop up... it's way easier to have the list appear in the console.. And since every server is set up that way it will be easier for people to figure out. I tried to search for info on this plugin but have no idea where to look.
