need help

Hi im newcomer to canada today i was writing a school test so they could tell me which grade I am going to.And they said that im going to grade 10 ? Im 17 im turning 18 in february my sister is 14 turning 15 in december this year, and she is also 10 grade? How is this possible ? Are there any triks ? Also my friend that came to canada 2 years ago is grade 12, he is 17 turning 18 in september.I want to graduate this year.It will be sucha a shame, 18 year old 10th grade.Is there something i can do ?

I have never been held back.My friend who came year ago was held back when he was in poland.Does it depend on school ?

Maybe it's for the best? To re-educate yourself in basic subjects. Why be in a hurry to graduate? Life sucks.

Yeah, I agree with Colonel. Life sucks dude and the longer you get to stay in high school, the better, unless your high school sucks haha

Yeah, I also agree with Connel. It also depends on your background education too. Every country/state has different expectations/ standards. If you really feel you are misplaced, try and speak with the counselor to see if you can take more challenging courses and or retake test. Either way see if you are placed correctly before doing anything.
